Resolution No. 98-59
Resolution to Submit the Application for the Job Creation Grant
Whereas, the State of California has signed into effect the California Work Opportunity
Responsibility to Kids (CaIWORKs) AB 1542, it is the intent of the Butte County Board of
Supervisors to submit this resolution which states our intent to adapt and implement a Job
Creation Plan targeted to CaIWORKs recipients.
Whereas, the Butte County Board of Supervisors have approved the Job Creation Task
Force members who will be responsible to develop a Job Creation Plan and/or initiate Job
Creation Activities consistent with an adopted Plan.
Whereas, it is the intent of the Butte County Board of Supervisors that the Job Creation
Grant funds will be used to implement job creation strategies targeted to Ca1WORKs
recipients.
NOW THEREFORE, be it resolved, the Butte County Board of Supervisors designates
the Private Industry (PIC), Tri-County Economic Development Corporation, and the Butte
County Economic Development Corporation to coordinate the Job Creation Task Force.
FURTHER BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Supervisors of Butte County states their
intent to approve and submit an application for the Job Creation Grant.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Butte County Board of Supervisor this 14th day of April
1998, by the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Beeler, Dolan, Houx, Josiassen and Chair Davis
NOES: None
ABSENT: None ~ ~
