RESOLUTION IN RECOGNITION OF DORIS LONG
UPON RETIREMENT FROM THE BUTTE COUNTY LIBRARY
WHEREAS, Doris E. Long, Library Assistant III, Branch Supervisor for the Gridley Library, announced
her retirement as of May 1, 1998; and
WHEREAS, Doris E. Long, began her career with the County of Butte as a Library Assistant III January
8, 1973, as the Gridley Branch Supervisor; and
WHEREAS, Doris E. Long has spent the last 25 years cheerfully serving the informational needs of the
residents of the County of Butte with a conscientious and dedicated resolution; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, That this Board, on its own behalf, and on behalf of the
residents of the County of Butte, wish to express to Doris E. Long sincere appreciation for her many years of
unselfish dedication and outstanding service rendered to the residents of the County of Butte, and further wish her
well on her retirement.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State of California, this
28th day of April, 1998 by the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Beeler, Dolan, Houx, Josiassen and Chair Davis
