RESOLUTION IN RECOGNITION OF JEANNETTE L. RICHARD
UPON RETHtEMENT FROM THE BUTTE COUNTY LIBRARY
WHEREAS, Jeannette L. Richard, Library Literacy Specialist, Library Literacy Department, announced
her retirement as of May 15, 1998; and
WHEREAS, Jeannette L. Richard, began her career with the County of Butte as Literacy Project Director
September 29, 1986, and as a result of reclassification in 1992 she became the Library Literacy Specialist; and
WHEREAS, Jeannette L. Richard, has spent the last 11 plus years coordinating and developing literacy
support for Butte County residents; and
WHEREAS, Jeannette L. Richard, has developed and expanded the Literacy Department to
accommodate the growing appreciation for these valuable services; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that this Board, on its own behalf, and on behalf of the
residents of the County of Butte, wish to express to Jeannette L. Richard sincere appreciation for her many years of
unselfish dedication and outstanding service rendered to the residents of the County of Butte, and further wish her
well on her retirement.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State of California, this
28th day of April, 1998 by the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Beeler, Dolan, Houx, Josiassen and Chair Davis
