HomeMy WebLinkAbout98-072RESOLUTION APPROVING MATCHING FUNDS FOR MULTI-COMPONENT GANG VIOLENCE SUPPRESSION GRANT WHEREAS, the Butte County Sheriff's Office, the District Attorney's office, and the Probation department desires to undertake a certain project to suppress gang activity in Butte County and its surrounding jurisdictions through education, intervention, arrest, and probation, to be funded in part from funds made available through the Mu}ti-Component Gang Grant administered by the Office of Criminal Justice Planning (hereafter referred to ac OCJP) and said matching funds as authorized by the Board of Supervisors. NOW, THERF,FORE BE IT RESOLVED that the applicant agrees to provide all matching funds required for said project (including any amendment thereof} under the Program and the funding terms and conditions of OCJP and that the cash match will be appropriated as required. IT IS AGREED that any liability arising out of the performance of this Grant Award Agreement, including civil court actions for damages, shall be the responsibi}ity of the grant recipient and the authorizing agency. The State of California and OCJP disclair~~ responsibility for any such liability. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the grant funds received hereunder shall not be used to supplant expenditures controlled by this body.
