RESOLUTION COMMENDING THE
SACRAMENTO-SIERRA COUNCIL OF CAMP FIRE BOYS AND GIRLS
WHEREAS, Sacramento-Sierra Council of Camp Fire Boys and Girls is celebrating their 75th
Diamond Jubilee this year, at their Annual Meeting on May 28, 1998; and
WHEREAS, the Camp Fire Program offers co-educational programs for youth with a philosophy
which recognizes individual accomplishments, encourages creativity and appreciation ofthe world around
us, and promotes citizenship. service to others and development of self=reliance skills; and
WHEREAS, Camp Fire Boys and Girls activities include games, arts and crafts, teen activities,
camping, special events enabling them to learn proper decision-making skills, responsibility for goal
setting and improved self-image; and
WHEREAS, the Sacramento-Sierra Council of Camp Fire Boys and Girls has, over the nears,
held to the statement of values of tramp Fire, ~~hich is Worship God, Seek Beauty, Give Service, Pursue
Knowledge, Be "trustworthy, Hold Onta Health, Glorify 1~'ork, and Be Happy.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Butte County Board of Supervisors hereby
commends Camp Fire Boys and Girls for its 75 years of service to the eight counties of Sacramento, Yolo,
EI Dorado, ('lacer, Nevada, Yuha, Sutter and Butte and extends their best wishes for the organization's
continued success in its future endeavors.
