HomeMy WebLinkAbout98-090~~+'O'~ ~S U P*~~~~~1'~~?~- • Q-: '• O~' • ~ • w y t r • ;y =~' ~. ;~; ~+4'' ~- BOARD O-F SUPERVISORS .COl1NTY OF BUTTE, STATE OF CALIFORNIA ~ic~solufion RESOLUTION PROCLAIMING JUNE 13, 1998 AS HORSE FESTIVAL DAY IN PARADISE i'~~~. 98-90 WHEREAS, on Saturday, June 13, 1998, the Paradise Horsemen's Association will sponsor its second Horse Festival at the Paradise Horse Arena at Moore Road Park; and WHEREAS, this event will attract an estimated 250 residents and visitors to Paradise; and WHEREAS, this event will include competitive displays of horsemanship, a Paradise Horsemen's Association Drill Team performance, artisan craft booths and games; and WHEREAS, this is one of eight community-wide events each year sponsored by the Paradise Horsemen's Association: and WHEREAS, the Paradise Horsemen's Association, with an active membership of more than 1 10 families, leases the Paradise Horse Arena from the Town of Paradise; and WHEREAS, the eight year old nonprofit organization is committed to the enjoyment of equestrian activities for residents of Paradise and surrounding communities, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Butte County Board of Supervisors hereby proclaims June 13, 1998 as Horse Festival Day in Paradise, and encourages all citizens to participate in the activities to be held on June 13, 1998 at the Paradise Horse Arena at Moore Road Park. PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Butte Cowlty Board of Supervisors this 9th day of June 1998 by the following vote: AYES NOES Supervisors Beeler, Dolan, Houx, Josiassen and Chair Davis None ABSENT: None NOT VOTING: None ~~/ 1 FRED C.
