RESOLUTION IN HONOR OF CAROL KOACH
UPON HER RETIREMENT FROM THF.
BUTTE COUNTY ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICE
WHEREAS, Carol Roach has announced her retirement as the Assistant Clerk of the Board
of Supervisors as of June 25, 1998; and
WHEREAS, Carol began her career with Butte County as an extra help "Typist Clerk in the
Biggs Justice Courtin January 1976 and in July 1976 she became a permanent employee. In January
1979 she went to work at the Gridley Justice Court as a Deputy Court Clerk II and was promoted
to Supervising Justice Court Clerk in January 1985; and
WHEREAS, Carol transferred to the Administrative Office as a Secretary II in December
1987. In June 1988 Carol assumed her duties as Assistant Clerk of the Board I and was promoted
to Assistant Clerk of the Board II in January 1992, and
WHEREAS, dtu-ing Carol's tenure in the Administrative Office, she has been instrumental
in implementing the Questys "Text and Image Management System, an electronic records
management system; undertook a historical record book restoration/preservation project, a process
far restoring, rebinding and microfilming original Board minute and index journals; and took the
lead role in the remodeling of the Board Chambers and Administrative Office; and
WHEREAS, Carol has displayed great team spirit, has always taken on extra responsibility
whenever needed to assure a properly functioning and harmonious workplace, and has consistently
conducted the business of the Assistant Clerk of the Board of Supervisors with great competence,
skill, and grace; and
WHEREAS, Carol Roach has served the residents of Butte County for over 22 and one-half
years with unselfish dedication and professionalism, gaining her the respect of her fellow workers,
past and present Supervisors, and the public.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that this Board, on its own behalf, and on
behalf of the residents of Butte County expresses its sincere appreciation to Carol for her many years
of outstanding service and, further, wishes her well upon her retirement.
PASSED AND ADONTED by the Butte County Board of Supervisors this ?3rd day of Jane
1998 by the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Beeler, Dolan, Houx, .Iosiassen and Chair Davis
