RESOLUTION IN APPRECIATION OF JIM FRIESE
Whereas, this Board expresses its appreciation to JIM FRIESE_ for his 1 Q Y2 years as a
Correctional Officer with the Butte County Sheriff s Office.
Whereas, JIMFRIESE joined the Butte County Sheriffs Office in April 1988, as a
Correctional Officer. In March 1991, he was appointed to the position of a Senior Correctional
Officer. In October 1995, he was promoted to the rank of Sergeant. SGT. FRIESE has worked in
the Incarceration Division. He has overseen the operation of both the Electronic Surveillance
Program (E.S.P.) and the Sheriffs Work Alternative Program (S.W.A.P.}. IIe has also been
responsible far setting up and coordinating training for all Correctional Officers. One of his
biggest accomplishments has been his input on the B.C.S.O. 1-log Farm. This program has been
successful due to his innovativeness and creativity. SGT. FRIESE is highly respected by all in
the department. He possesses quality management skills that have helped to improve employee
morale.
Whereas, after serving the citizens of Butte County for 10 '1~ years, SGT FRIESE will
retire on August 1, 1998.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the $oard of Supervisors, on its own
behalf and on behalf of the residents of the County of Butte:
That said Board expresses their deep appreciatian far the unselfish dedication and
devotion given by SERGEANT JIM FRIESE during his 10 '/z year career with the Butte County
Sheriff's Office.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Butte County Board of Supervisors this 23rd day of
June 1998 by the following vote;
AYES: Supervisors Dolan, Houx, Josiassen and Chair Davis
