Resolution 98-110
RESOLUTION APPROVING ADOPTION OF CANINE
TO BE UTILIZED AS A CANINE OFFICER
WHEREAS, Butte County adopts and recognizes a German Shepard dog, named Illo.
Said dog shall be used by the Butte County Sheriff's Office as a member of the canine unit.
WHEREAS, Deputy Sheriff Steven Sloan will be Illo's handler and partner. The County
will provide all food and medical care for Illo.
WHEREAS, Illo shall reside with Deputy Sloan. I-Ie shall be deputized upon completion
of his training.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Supervisors on its own
behalf, and on behalf of the residents of the CoLmty of Butte that said Board will adopt Illo as a
canine officer for the Butte County Sheriff's Office.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Butte County Board of Supervisors on this 14`" day of
July 198 by the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Dolan, Houx, Josiassen and Chair Davis
NOES: None
ABSENT: Supervisor Beeler ~~
NOT VOTING: None ~`
