RESOLUTION APPROVING AMENDMENT TO THE COOPERATIVF,
AGREEMENT TO PROVIDE FIRE SERVICE FOR LOCAL AGENCIES
WHEREAS, Butte County experienced severe flooding in February 1998 and resulted in
extra-ordinary costs f'or the Fire Department responding to flood-related emergencies on a
countywide basis; and
WHEREAS.. extended emergencies or catastrophes of this type are not practical to include
in the annual budget,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED. that the Butte County Board of Supervisors
hereby approves the increase in the amount of $1 Q000 in the Cooperative Agreement to provide fire
protection and rescue service for local agencies, entered into between the County of Butte and
California Department ofForestry and Fire Protection, covering the period July 1, 1997 through June
3~, 1998.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board oFSupervisors this 14th day of July, l 998 by the
following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Dolan, Roux, Josiassen and Chair Davis
NOES: None
ABSENT: Supervisor Beeler
