RF,SOLIITION HONORING STEVE NETTLE'I'ON AND RECOGNIZING
NETTLETON S'TADIUM'S RECEIPT OF THE GOLDEN ROSF. AWARD
WHEREAS, each year the Chico Chamber of Commerce recognizes businesses for their
aesthetic enhancement of the Chico Community, and
WHEREAS, on August l 3, 1998, the Chico Chamber will recognize Nettleton Stadium with
the prestigious Golden Rose Award; and
WHEREAS, construction of Nettleton Stadium was a cooperative effort between Steve
Nettleton and California State University, Chico. "'The Net"' was designed to reflect and compliment
the overall architecture and appearance of the CSU, Chico campus.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Butte County Board of Supervisors
on its own behalf, and for the residents of Butte County, wishes to honor Steve Nettleton for his
efforts in bringing this award-winning stadium to the Chico Community, and, further recognizes his
and the Chico Heat's contribution to the economic development of Butte County.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Butte County Board of Supervisors this 1 1 th day of
August 1998 by the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Beeler, Dolan, Hoax, .losiassen and Chair Davis
