STATE OF CALIFORNIA FOR THE PURPOSE OF THIS GRANT, AUTHORIZING THE COUNTY ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT WITH THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA AND AMENDMENTS THERETO FOR SUCH A GRANT, AND AUTHORIZING THE COUNTY ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER TO EXECLITF, A JOINT POWERS AGREEMENT WITH THE CITY OF GRIDLEY FOR ADMINISTRATION AND IMPLEMENTATION OF THE GRANT BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte as follows: SECTION 1 "The Board of Supervisors has reviewed and authorizes submission of an application to the State CDBG ©ver-The-Counter Program for a joint grant application of up to $800,000 along with the City of Gridley to support the location and expansion of Stapleton-Spence Packing Company. Specifically, the County of Butte's portion of the grant will be for $300,000 and will be used for: a) On-Site Sewage Pre-Treatment $277,500 b) General Urant Administration $22,500 SECTION 2 The Board of Supervisors has reviewed the citizen participation plan for compliance with federal statute and has determined that this plan was followed for the development of this application. SECTION 3 The County Administrative Officer, or his designee, is hereby authorized and directed to act on the County's behalf in all matters pertaining to this application, including entering into and signing the grant agreement and any subsequent amendments with the State of California for the purpose of this grant. SECTION 4 The Board of Supervisors finds that the proposed project meets an important community development objective for the County through the creation of jobs within the County of Butte, which is particularly important as part of meeting the County's Welfare Reform goals.
