HomeMy WebLinkAbout98-129BC~~4~CC~ dF` SUPERVI~OF~~ ,C4UIVTY OF BUTTE, STATE _OF CALIF4RIWIA Resolution No. ~g-129 A RESOLUTION APPROVING AN APPLICATION FOR FUNDING AND THE EXECUTION OF A GRANT AGREEMENT FROM THE PLANNING/TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE ALLOCATION OF THE STATE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT (CDBG) PROGRAM BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte as follows: SECTION 1 The Board of Supervisors has reviewed and hereby approves an application for the following: a) Multi-County Feasibility Study to Assess Options and Viability for Developing an Equity hlvestment Product to Assist New and Expanding Businesses - $34,250 b) Grant Administration - $ l ,800 SECTION 2 The Board of Supervisors has reviewed the citizen participation plan for compliance with federal statute and has determined that this plan was followed far the development of this application. SECTION 3 The Board of Supervisors hereby approves the use of a $1,050 cash match from the "fri-County Economic Development Corporation's Rural Venture Capital Network for the project. SECTION 4 The County Administrative Officer, or his designee, is hereby authorized and directed to aet on the County's behalf in all matters pertaining to this application. SF,CTION 5 If the application is approved, the County Administrative C>fficer, or his designee, is authorized to enter into and sign the grant agreement and any subsequent amendments with the State of California for the purpose of this grant. SECTION 6 "The Board of Supervisors certifies that it is meeting its community development objectives by carrying out the activity as it will lead to job creation opportunities through assisting local entrepreneurs in obtaining investment capital.
