RES'OL UTION ESTABLISHING A POLICY FOR
PROCESSING CHANGE ORDERS RELATED TO THE
BUTTE COUNTY JAIL. REMODEL. PROJECT
WHEREAS. the Board of Supervisors is proceeding with a capital constnletion project called "Butte
Co«ntc Main Jail Remodel Project': and

change orders ti~i[I be ncccssar~~ to accommodate unforeseen conditions, design document errors, and owner

WHEREAS. an administrative police is ncccssan~ to alloiti change orders to be processed c~pcdicnti~~.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED b~~ the Butte County Board of Supervisors that the
folloix.ing police of processing change orders on the "Butte County Main Jail Rcmode] Project ~ be as follo~~~s:
l . The Butte County Main Jail Remodel Project will have an administrative approval authority o1~
~2>_r)00 limit en individual change orders and a cumulative auithority of ~`Yo of construction bid cost.
~ 'The Chief Adrninistrativc Officer. Assistant Chief Administrative Officer and General Services
Director have authority to administrativeh~ approve change orders within the limits set forth in Paragraph i.
Such 2dministrati~~c a,~proval ~~-ill require the appro~-al of at Icast ttyo of the three persons.
3. A report shall be prepared and presented to the Board of Supervisors on a quartcriz~ basis setting
forth the change ordcrs_ tl~~c a.mounts_ and an explanation for cash change order approved during the pc:-iod.
~+. ~ul~len change ordcrs exceed either of the limits set forth in Paragraph 1. appro~~~al must be
obtained from the Board of Supervisors.
