RIX WHEREAS, Brian L. Rix, during his career with Butte County, served as a Deputy County Counsel, and far 17 years as Judge of the Paradise and Oroville Justice Courts and the North Butte County Municipal Court, retiring in 199 ~; and WHEREAS, Judge Rix also served on many state, local and volunteer boards and committees and as a member of various professional associations;. and as a part-time faculty member at California State University, Chico, he was well liked by his students; and WHEREAS, in addition to his accomplished and distinguished career, Brian Rix was a man who was always there to listen to ar help his family and friends, was an avid reader and a very learned man; and WHEREAS, Judge Brian Rix will be remembered not only for his devotion to the law, lasting impact an the California judicial system, and his many contributions to his community, but as a man totally devoted to his family and as a loyal friend whose kindness, sincerity, direct demeanor, fairness and professionalism earned him the respect of the public, his peers, and his associates along with the endearment of his family and those proud to call him friend, and he will be deeply missed by all thane whose lives he touched. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Butte County Board of Supervisors recognizes the outstanding contributions made by Judge Brian L. iZix to the quality of life in Butte County.
