RESOLUTION AU"fHORILING D[S"IRIC"[~ A"1~"I~ORNEY
TO IJNDERTAKL GRANT AWARD AGREEMENT
WHI~.RF;AS, Butte County desires to undertake a certain project known as the Spousal Abuser
Prosecution Program to be funded in part from funds made available through the California Department
of Justice:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE 1'I` RESOLVED that the District Attorney of Butte County is
autl~-orized, on its behalf, to submit the attached proposal to the Department of Justice and is authorized
to execute on behalf of the Board of Supervisors the attached Award Agreement including any
extensions or amendments thereof.
BE 1'f FURTHER RESOLVED that the applicant agrees to provide all matching funds required
for said project (including any amendment thereof) under the Program and the finding terms and
conditions of the Depa--tment of .-ustice and that the cash match will be appropriated as required.
1"T IS AGREED that any liability arising out of the performance of this Grant Award Agreement,
including civil court actions for damages, shall be the responsibility of the grant recipient and the
authorizing agency. The State of California and Deparhnent of Justice disclaim responsibility for any
such liability.
BE ["T FURTHER RESOLVED that grant funds received hereunder shall not he used to supplant
expendih-res controlled by this body.

October , 1998, by the following vote:
