RESOLUTION PROCLAIMING NOVEMBER 8-14, 1998 AS
"OPTIMIST CLUB INTERNATIONAL YOUTH APPRECIATION WEEK"
WHEREAS, the Oroville Optimist Club No. 20524 is a club in good standing with
Optimist International; and
WHEREAS, the Oroville Optimist Club is committed to offering positive programs for
Oroville youth; and
WHEREAS, the Oroville Optimist Club has been a leader in the community for the past
year; and
WHEREAS, there are Oroville youth who are deserving of recognition for their efforts
and talents in the arts, athletics, academics and far their contributions to the community; and
WHEREAS, since 1957, the second week in November has been observed through
Optimist clubs nationally.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Buttc County Board of
Supervisors hereby proclaims November 8-14, 1998 as "Youth Appreciation Week."
PASSED AND ADOPTED, by the Butte County Board of Supervisors this 10'x' day of
November 1998 by the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Beeler, Dolan, Houx, Josiassen and Chair Davis
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
