HomeMy WebLinkAbout98-180~a~' ~~i St's r ~i • a°4 ~ 4 "` BOARD OF SUPERVISOR „~ 'k ' COUNTY OF BUTTE, STATE OF CALIFORNIA ~~i~`~'?'ntt.1~3'l ~i'-~ tl~'StlltifiOTi ~~'c~. 98-180 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING BUTTE COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF BEHAVIORAL HEALTH TO ACCEPT BLOCK GRANT FUNDS FROM STATE DEPARTMENT OF COMMUNITY SERVICES AND DEVELOPMENT FOR MENTOR PROGRAM WHEREAS, Butte County Department of Behavioral Health, Community Services Division has been awarded $75,000.00 to assist with the ongoing Mentor Program; and WHEREAS, the Program Goal is to train and match a minimum of 28 mentors to provide constant, as needed support, guidance, and concrete help to the youth who are "at-risk" and has an increased danger of becoming a teen parent, school dropout, gang member or user of alcohol and drugs; and WHEREAS, the term of the grant is October 1, 1998 through September 30, 1999. The amount of funds awarded is $75,000.00 and shall be allocated and appropriated as documented in Attachment "A". NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, the Butte County Department of Behavioral Health, Community Services Division has authorization to accept grant funds to continue its ongoing Mentor Program.
