AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 15 OF THE BUTTE COUNTY
CODE TO ESTABLISH A RE[7ARD FOR SIGN DESTRUCTION
1. The Board of Supervisors of the County of Buttes State of
2 California, do ordain as follows:
3' to Chapter 15 of the Code of the County of Butter State
4 of California is amended to read by adding Section 15-28 as follows;
5 Section 15-28, Reward for conviction of sign
6 destruction, The County hereby offers a reward
7 o:E ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($1.00,00) for the giving
8 of information leading to the apprehension and
9 conviction of any person or persons for the
10. theft of or the wilful and malicious destruction
11 of or damage to any county property including but
12 not limited to roads, signs, equipment or build-
13 ingso Such reward shall be paid upon order of the
14 Board of Supervisors of the County uppn and after
15 recommendations for such payment by the District
16 Attorney of the County, and the Board of Supervisors
17 shall be the sole judge of the party or parties
18 entitled to receive any reward.
19 2, This Ordinance shall take effect thirty (30) days
20 after its passage, and before the expiration of fifteen (15)
2Z days afters its passage, it shall be published at least once
22 with the names of the Supervisors voting for or against the same
23 in a local newspaper published in the County of Butte, State of
24 California,
2B PASSED ANTI ADOPTED by the Board of Supervisors of the County
26 of Butte, State of California, this 9th day of July, 1968, by the
27 following vote:
28 AYES:Supervisors Danaway, Howsden, McI{illop, Pryde & Chairman Maxon
