RESOLUTION IN RECOGNITION OF DAVE HIRONIMUS
UPON HIS RETIREMENT FROM
THE DF,PARTMENT OF DEVELOPMENT SERVICES

WHEREAS, nave Hironimus has served Butte County with distinction far more than 27
years, since his appointment on March 2, 1971; and
WHEREAS, during his tenure with Butte County, Dave Hironimus has served in nearly
every professional planning position from Planning 'Technician to Geographic Information Planner;
and
WHEREAS, Dave Hironimus has served with intelligence, understanding, fervor, humor,
and has always exhibited a genuine desire to ensure that planning in Butte County was accomplished
with integrity and in a manner that best served the citizens of the County; and
WHEREAS, Dave Hironimus has aptly assisted and guided the Butte County Planning
Commission, Airport Land Use Commission, Development Review Committee and Board of
Supervisors in performing their duties; and
WHEREAS, Dave Hironimus was integral in establishing the Geographic Information
System for Butte County and making this technology accessible to numerous County Departments;
and
WHEREAS, Dave l~Iironimus has been a wealth of information to, and provided invaluable
guidance to five Directors of Planning, and has provided assistance, support and encouragement to
dozens of staff members during his tenure; and
WHEREAS, he is a man of experience, intelligence, integrity, and morality, and his
contributions during his tenure as a Planner have been helpful and of great value to Butte County.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that this Board, on its own behalf and on
behalf of the residents of Butte County, recognizes and expresses its appreciation for the services
of Dave Hironimus to the County of Butte and further wishes him well on his retirement.
