Resolution No. 99-12
RESOLUTION APPROV[NG ADOPTION OF CANINE
TO BE UTILIZED AS A CANINE OFFICER
WHEREAS, Butte County adopts and recognizes a German Shepard dog, named Nikko.
Said dog shall be used by the Butte County Sherifhs Office as a member of the canine unit.
WHEREAS, Deputy Sheriff Mike Lydon will be Nikko's handler and partner. The
County will provide all food and medical care for Nikko.
WEIEREAS, Nikko shall reside with Mike Lydon. He shall be deputized upon
completion of his training.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Supervisors on its own
behalf, and on behalf of the residents of the County of Butte that said Board will adopt Nikko as
a canine officer for the Butte County Sheriff s Office.
PASSED ANU ADOPTED by the Butte County Board of Supervisors on this 26`'' day of
January 1999 by the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Beeler, Davis, Houx, Jvsiassen and Chair Dolan
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
NOT VOTING: None
