HomeMy WebLinkAbout99-017``.+~ `+r~r~~rnrrrr~~~+.1.A.~ 1 ~+r ~i O• . ,~.. ~ • -~ = • ,~ ; ~ ~ ~ •a '• ~,~•••........••'' ~ G.' .'~., C,OUIS,~~'~• BOARD OF SUPERVISORS COUNTY OF BUl'fE, STATE OF CALIFORNIA ~E~sv~ufion No. ~9-~ 7 RESOLUTION ESTABLISHIN AN ORD RLY Y TEM FOR DESTRUCTION OF R RD OF THE HiFF ADMINISTRAT E OFFICE /('(7i TNTY ADMINI TRATIVE OFFI E WHEREAS, the establishment of an orderly system of destruction of records within the Administrative Office pursuant to Government Code Sections 26202, 26205, and 26205.1 is desirable; WHEREAS, Section 26205.1 of the California Government Code permits this Board, by resolution, to authorize the county officer having custody of nonjudicial public records, documents, instruments, books and papers to cause to be destroyed any or all of the records, documents, instruments, books, and papers if all of the conditions set forth in said statute exist and such other conditions as this Board may impose by resolution exist; and WHEREAS, certain provisions of law are applicable to the destruction of specific types of records and it is desirable that effect be given to these specific statues in the system established in this County for destruction of records; NOW THEREFORE, BE I'T RESOLVED as follows: 1. An orderly system for the destruction of nonjudicial public records, documents, instruments, books, and papers in the custody of the Chief Administrative Officer/County Administrative Office is hereby established in this County as set forth below; 2. The Chief Administrative Officer, who has custody of nonjudicial public records, documents, instruments, books, papers and files, may authorize the destruction of or other disposition of those nonjudicial public records, documents, instruments, books, papers and files hereinafter described on the conditions hereinafter set forth in Exhibit "A"; and 3. This resolution may be amended from time to time by additions, deletions, or amendments thereto by further resolution of this Board which shall make specific reference hereto and incorporate all of the provisions hereof unaffected by said amendments.
