RESOLUTION DESIGNATING THE NORTHERN CALIFORNIA COUNCIL
FOR THE ARTS AS BUTTE COUNTY'S ARTS COUNCIL
WHEREAS, the Northern California Council for the Arts was designated as the Arts
representation for Butte County in fiscal year 1998-99; and
WHEREAS, the deadline far applying for State funds was January 22, 1999, and the
Northern California Council for the Arts has applied for funds an behalf of Butte County; and
WHEREAS, the California Arts Council informs Butte County that the Northern California
Council for the Arts is eligible to apply for funds if the County of Butte continues to designate it as
Butte County's Arts Council; and
WHEREAS, the Northern California Council for the Arts has shown the desire and
motivation to merit being granted the title of Butte County's Council.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Butte County Board of Supervisors
does hereby designate the Northern California Arts Council as Butte County's Arts Council.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Butte County Board of Supervisors this 9''' day of
February 1999 by the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
NOT VOTING: None
