HomeMy WebLinkAbout99-034~~ ~_:... is` .. ~,,, ,1#,J~1TY ~~ ~t:lTTE, STATE 4~' CA!_.IFQRNIA Resolufi~n No. ~9-34 RESOLUTION AMENDING FEES AND CONDITIONS FOR TRANSPORTATION PERMITS WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, on the 19th day of September, 1989, passed and adopted Resolution No. 89-140, establishing fees for issuing and administering all transportation permits in connection with the use of Butte County road rights of way for transporting oversize or overweight vehicles or loads; and V4'HEREAS, it is necessary to amend said Resolution No. 89-140 to increase said fees to take into account increases in expenses to issue and administer said transportation permits, and; WHEREAS, having considered this matter at a public hearing of this Board on February 23, 1999, and having considered oral and written comments submitted at said meeting, and the data indicating that proposed fee increases do not exceed the reasonable cost of providing the services, facilities, or regulatory activity for which the fee is charged. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, as follows: 1. The fee schedule attached as Exhibit A to said Resolution No. 89-140 is hereby amended to read as shown an attached Exhibit A, and that said fees shall become effective upon adoption of this resolution. 2. The permit conditions attached as Exhibit B to said Resolution No. 89-140 is hereby amended to read as shown on attached Exhibit B, and that said permit conditions shall become effective upon adoption of this resolution. Biaekloek, Chief Administrative Officer and Clerk of the Board _` ~/ CierklDeput EXHIBIT A FEES FOR TRANSPORTATION PERMITS {AMENDED FEBRUARY 23, 1999) OVERSI7.E AND OVERWEIGHT LOADS Single trip, per vehicle $16.00 Extended period, per vehicle $90.00 MOBILE HOMES Single trip, per vehicle $16.00 Extended period, per vehicle $90.00 HOUSE MOVING Single trip $90.00 UNI,ICENSF.D CONSTRUCTION EQUIPMENT Single trip $16.00 EXHIBIT B CONDITIONS FOR TRANSPORTATION PF,RMI'I'S (AMENDED FEBRUARY 23, 1999} In addition to the fees as shown on Exhibit A, a fee for engineering investigations, assistance with traffic controls, or other special services as may be necessitated by unusually large or heavy loads will be charged at actual additional cost. If deemed necessary by Public Works and the California Highway Patrol (C.H.P.), escort by C.H.P, officer(s), at the full expense of the permittee, will be required. Permits will be issued for an extended period of time, up to a maximum of twelve months. Transportation permittees shall provide an acceptable Certificate of Insurance covering Bodily h~jury and Property Damage in the following minimum amounts: Bodily Injury - $100,000 each accurrencel$300,000 aggregate Property Damage - $100,000 each occurreneel$300,000 aggregate Butte County shall be named as certificate holder and as additional insured.
