RESOLUTION REGARDING THE SOUTHSIDE OROVILLE COMMUNITY CENTER MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE WHEREAS, on December 15, 1998, the County of Butte and the City of Oroville entered into a Memorandum of Understanding far the design, construction and administration of the Southside Oroville Community Center; and WHEREAS, the Memorandum of Understanding established a nine member Management Committee the members of which are to be as follows: • One member of the Butte County Board of Supervisors selected by that body; • One member of the Oroville City Council selected by that body; • The City Manager of the City of Oroville or his or her designee; • The County Chief Administrative Officer or his or her designee; • The Butte County General Services Director or his or her designee; • A representative of the private sector appointed by the Board of Supervisors; • A representative of the private sector appointed by the Orovilie City Council; • Two persons appointed by the Board of Supervisors and residing within the Southside Oroville community with the boundaries of said community being as defined within the original general allocation grant application approved by the state in Grant #9?-STBG-1103; and WHEREAS, it is the duty of said Management Committee to review and make recommendations to the Board of Supervisors on all issues relative to the ownership and operation of the Southside Oroville Community Center. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that this Board will appoint the County's four members to the Management Committee as required by the Memorandum of Understanding with the City of Oroville at a regular scheduled meeting of the Board; and NOW, THEREFORE, BE iT FURTHER RESOLVED that the term of such appointments will coincide with the term of office of the Board of Supervisor member in which the Center resides.
