HomeMy WebLinkAbout99-050~~ •~.~. ~~ ~C~ARC? ~?F S~3P~R~IS~J~:~ . *~•; ~,~ coucv~Y of Burry, stA-rE o~ c~-~~FO~NiA '~ ~ ••••nn••••..,~! ~•.~ nt,.~~C~.~~ RE~sofufir~n ~I~~. 99-50 RESOLUTION APPROVING APPLICATION FOR STATE OFF-HIGHWAY VEHICLE GRANT ENTITLED "JONESVILLE ENFORCEMENT" FY 2000-2001 WHEREAS, the people of the State of California have enacted the Off-Highway Motor Vehicle Recreation Act of 1988, which provides funds to the State of California and its political subdivisions for planning, acquiring, developing, operating, conserving and maintaining off-highway vehicle recreation; and WHEREAS, the Off-Highway Motor Recreation Division, within the State of California Department of Parks and Recreation, has been delegated the responsibility to administer the program; and WHEREAS, procedures established by the California Department of Parks and Recreation requires the applicant to certify by Resolution the approval of application before submission to the State; and WHEREAS, the project appears on, or is in conformance with the jurisdiction's adopted general or master plan and is compatible with the land use plans of those jurisdictions immediately surrounding this project; and NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Butte County Board of Supervisors hereby: • Approves the filing of an application for an Off-Highway Vehicle Grant; and • Certifies that this agency understands its legal obligations to the State upon approval of the grant; and • Certifies that this agency understands the California Public Resources Code requirement that acquisition and development projects be maintained to specific conservation standards; and • Certifies that the project will be maintained during its useful life; and Page 1 of 2 Resolution for State OfF-Hig ,,ray Vehicle Grant R~_ elution No. 99-50 Jonesville Enforcement FY 2000-2001 (continued) • Certifies that this agency will implement the project with diligence once funds are available and a Project Agreement has been consummated between the State and this agency; and • Certifies that this agency will provide the required matching funds, and • Certifies that the public and adjacent property owners have been notified of the project; and • Appoints the Sheriff as agent of the County of Butte to conduct all negotiations, execute and submit all required documents, including but not necessarily limited to the application, agreements, amendments, payment requests, etc., which may be necessary for the completion of the project. Passed and adapted this 23rd day of IVlarch, 1999, by the following votes.
