RESOLUTION PROVIDING TRAVEL REIMBURSEMENT
FOR MEMBERS OF THE BUTTE COUNTY ASSESSMENT APPEALS BOARD
WHEREAS, the Butte County Assessment Appeals Board was established by
Ordinance No. 1114, which enacted Article IV of Chapter 21 of the Butte County Code,
including sections 21-50 through 21-57; and
WHEREAS, Section 21-56 of the Butte County Code provides that necessary
travel expenses of the members of the Assessment Appeals Board shall be paid as determined by
the Board of Supervisors; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors wishes to provide for the payment of
necessary travel expenses to the members of the Assessment Appeals Board;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that each member of the Assessment
Appeals Board shall be entitled to reimbursement for actual travel expenses incurred as a result of
conducting business of the Assessment Appeals Board. Such travel expenses shall be reimbursed
at the prevailing rate per mile being paid to county employees and officials. Members of the
Assessment Appeals Board, in order to receive reimbursement, shall submit claims to the Clerk of
the Board of Supervisors on a form consistent with the requirements of the county Auditor-
Controller.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Butte County Board of Supervisors this 1 lth
day of May 1999, by the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Beeler, Houx, Josiassen, Davis and Chair Dolan
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
NOT VOTING: None
