BECOME SUBJECT TO THE UNIFORM CONSTRUCTION COST
ACCOUNTING POLICIES AND PROCEDURES OF THE CALIFORNIA
UNIFORM PUBLIC CONSTRUCTION COST ACCOUNTING COMMISSION
WHEREAS. the [;niform Public Constr~~ction Cost Accounting Act (Public Contract Code
22000 et seq.}, hereinatfer refen~ed to as the "Act" provides that far those agencies whose governing
board has by resolution elected to became subject to the uniform construction cost accounting
policies and procedures ofthe California Uniform Public construction Cost Accounting Commission
and which have notified the State Controller of that election: (a) public projects of $25,000 or less
may be performed by the employees of the County by force account, bti~ negotiated contract, or by
purchase order; (bj public projects oI'$75,000 or less may be let to contract by informal procedures
set forth in the A.ct and (c) public projects of more than S7_5,000 shall, except as otherwise provided
by the Act, be let to contract by formal bidding procedures; and
1~'HERE,AS. the CoLIntV will be enacting an informal bidding ordinance pursuant to Public
:"ontract Code Section 22014, which ordinance authorizes it to delegate to the County Purchasing
Avert the authority to award informal contracts:
NOW. THEREFORE. BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Supervisors of the County of
Butte hereby elects under California Public Contract Code Section 22030 to become subject to the
uniform public construction cost accounting procedures set forth in the Act and to the policies and
procedures of the California t~nifoY-nl Public Construction Cost Accounting Commission as they may
each from time to time be amended; and
BE IT FURTI-fER RESOLVED, that the General Services Director shall notify the State
Controller, by letter, of this election and shall transmit therewith a certified copy of this resolution.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Butte County Board of Supervisors this 22nd day of
June 1999 by the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Beeler, Houx, Josiassen, Davis and Chair Dolan
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
NOT VOTING: None
