RESOLUTION IN RECOGNITION OF MICHAEL G. "NICK" PHILLIPS
UPON RETIREMENT FROM THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS
WHEREAS, Mick Phillips, Civil Engineering-Assistant for the Department of Public Works,
announced his retirement as of August A, 1999: and
WHEREAS, Mick Phillips began his career with the County of Butte in 1962 as an tinder
Engineering Aide in the Department of Public Works, advancing within the Department in responsible
positions to become Civil Engineering-Assistant, his present position; and
WHEREAS, Mick Phillips worked in the Public Works engineering and construction fields for
many years; and
WHEREAS, Mick Phillips has earned the respect of fellow employees, engineers, surveyors,
contractors, and others involved in Public Works activities in Butte County, and has diligently served the
residents of the County of Butte for approximately thirty-seven years with extraordinary distinction and
leadership.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE TT RESOLVEll, that this Board, on its own behalf and on behalf of
the residents of the County of Butte, wishes to express to Mick Phillips sincere appreciation for his many
years of unselfish dedication and outstanding service rendered to the residents of the County of Butte, and
further wish him well an his retirement.
PASSF,D AND ADOPTED by the Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State of
California, this 27'x' day of July 1949, by the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Beeler, Houx, Josiassen, Davis and Chair Dolan
