HomeMy WebLinkAbout99-103.~.`, RESOLUTION DECLARING INTE11-'TION TO SELL PROFERTY WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte deems it advisable to sell the following surplus property, to wit: Property Description 100 foot Strip of Land Between Ophir and Kusel Roads Being that certain 100 foot wide old Southern Pacific Railroad right of way, granted by quitclaim deed from Southern Pacific Transportation Company, a Delaware Corporation, to the County of Butte, dated September 13. 1978, and recorded in the Off-cc of the Recorder of the County of Butte, State of California on October 23, 1978, in book 2337 Qfficial Records at page 12~, and also lying within the north half of section 32, T19N, R4E, M.D.M. Beginning at the point of intersection of the westerly right of way line of said abandoned S.P.R.R. «â€¢ith the northerly right of «a~~ line of Kusel Road. Thence in a northeasterly direction along said railroad right of ~~-ay 2070 feet more or less to its point of intersection ~~~ith the southerly right of u-av line of Ophir Road. Thence easterly along said southerly right of iz~ay line l20 feet more or less to its intersection with the easterl~~ right of way line of said abandoned railroad. Thence in a southwesterly direction along said S.P.R.R. right of ~-yav 2040 feet more or less to its intersection ~~~ith the northerly right of way line of said Kuscl Road. Thence in a westerly direction along said right of ~ti~av line 120 feet more or Icss to the point of bc,ginning_ containing 4.7~- acres. Subject to a pipeline easement as described in Document No. 31068. dated August 23, 1979. NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS RESOLVED as follows: 1. That it is the intention of this Board to sell the aforementioned property at a minimum price of $17,000 cash. 2. That on the 28th day of September 1999 at 10:30 a.m., a public meeting of the Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte will be held at the regular place of meeting of said Board, at which time proposals to purchase will be received and considered.
