RESOLUTION PROCLAIMING SEPTEMBER 12-18, 199
TO BE NATIONAL REHABILITATION AWARENESS WEEK
WHEREAS, the Work Training Center is observing and celebrating National Rehabilitation
Awareness Week beginning September 12; and
WHEREAS, the County of Butte recognizes and values the educational, social and
humanitarian contributions of its many citizens with disabilities; and
WHEREAS, those citizens have found hope, spirit and dignity through rehabilitation
services; and
WHEREAS, rehabilitative services throughout our nation help people with disabilities to
achieve independent, productive and fulfilling lives; and
WHEREAS, the County of Butte is proud and honored to have Work Training Center
facilities in Butte County.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT SO RESOLVED that the Butte County Board of Supervisors
proclaims September 12-18, 1999, as the National Rehabilitation Awareness celebration, and
encourages all citizens to renew their commitment to people with disabilities and to the efforts of
rehabilitation services in improving their quality of life.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Butte County Board of Supervisors this 10°i day of
August 1999 by the following vote:
