RESOLUTION REGARDING VOLUNTEER FIREFIGHTERS
KEIMBURSEMENT INCREASES
WHEREAS, the Butte County Board of Supervisors desires to supplement the Coun±y
fire fighting services through the use of volunteer firefighters; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors has established volunteer lire companies in
various areas of the County; and
WHEREAS, in the past the volunteer fire fighters have been compensated at the rate of
$4.50 per drill or fire as a means of reimbursing travel and other incidental out-of-pocket
expenses.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Butte County Board of
Supervisors authorises volunteer firefighters to be reimbursed for incidental expenses incun-ed in
the course of their volunteer fire service in the amount of $7.50 per call and $9.00 per fire drill
attended. Claims for reimbursement shall be authorized by the station manager on a form and in
a manner as prescribed by the County Auditor.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Butte County Board of Supervisors this 14`" day of
September 1999 by the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors I3eelery Houma, Josiassen, Davis and Chair Dolan
