Resolution No. y9-i3l
PROCLAMATION OF TERMINATION OF LOCAL EMERGENCY
WHEREAS, a local emergency presently exists in the County of Butte in accordance with
the proclamation thereof by the Director of Emergency Services on the 23"~ day of August, 1999,
and its ratification by the Board of Supervisors on .the 24'x' day of August, 1999, as a result of
conditions of extreme peril to the safety of persons and property caused by lightning strikes
initiating over 47 separate, widespread fires which has resulted in the evacuation of populations
in the communities of Forest Ranch, Cohasset and Berry Creek.
WHEREAS, the situation resulting from said conditions of extreme peril is now deemed to
be within the control of the normal protective services, personnel, equipment and facilities within
the County of Butte.
NOW, THEREFORE, the Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State of California,
does hereby proclaim the termination of said local emergency.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State of
California, on this 14'x' day of September, 1999 by the following votes:
