' RESOLUTION INCREASING SELF-INSURANCE
WORKER'S COMPENSAT[ON INTERGOVERNMENTAL
SERVICE FUND (ISF) AND TRUST ACCOUNT
WHEREAS, the Baard of Supervisors of the County of Butte adopted Resolution
# 79-149 on July 24, 1979 establishing both an Inter-governmental Service Fund and a
Trust Account pursuant to Government Code # 25263 ;and
WH1?REAS, California Government Code Section 29320 et. seq. provides for the
establishment of such funds in amounts to be determined by the Board of Supervisors;
and
WEfI:REAS, both County Risk Management and the company handling the
processing of worker's compensation claims for the County have requested an increase in
the amount ot`the revolving fund: and
WI IF,REAS, Risk Management and the Auditor: l) believe it necessary to
increase the amount of the ISF and Trust Account because of the higher volume of
worker's compensation claims being processed and time delays encountered in
replenishing the fund, and 2) mutually support the request f-or an increase;
NOW, THERF,FORF;, BE IT RF,SOLVFa,17 by the Board of Supervisors of the
County of Butte, State of California, as follows:
I . Resolution # 79-149 has previously authorized the establishment of the Inter-
governmental Service Fund and "Trust Account but did not state a specific amount to
be placed in the Revolving ('['rust) Fund, this resolution increases the amount from the
existing ~ 136.000 to $ 175,000.
2. Certified copies of this resolution shall be transmitted to the County Auditor and the
County Treasurer.
The Risk Manager is instructed pursuant to Section 29323 of'the California
Government Code to amend by endorsement the blanket fidelity bond of the County
to be conditioned in addition to its other provisions, upon the faithful administration
of the revolving fund and upon the willingness and ability of the principal for whom
such fund has been established to account for and pay over the fund upon demand of
the Board of Supervisors at any time.

4. The Auditor of the County of Butte is hereby authorized and directed to draw a
warrant in the sum of'Thirty Nine Thousand Dollars ($ 39,000) in favor of the Risk
Manager -- Worker's Compensation "Trust Fund from the Worker's Compensation
I.S.F. Fund, for deposit into the Worker's Compensation Revolving (Trust) Fund.
5. "I'he Risk Manager or his designee will account for the Worker's Compensation
Revolving Fund in accordance with Government Code Section 29390 et. seq. and will
periodically request replenishment based on properly documented vouchers.
6. All provisions of Resolution # 79-149 shall remain in full force and effect.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 26th day of October 1999 by the Butte County
Board of Supervisors by the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Beeler, Houx, Josiassen, Davis and Chair Dolan
