Resolution No. 99-148
RESOLUTION IN APPRECIATION OF DISTRICT ATTORNEY
INVESTIGATOR II
BERNARD "BERME" EUGENE LIGHTNER
WHEREAS, this Board expresses its appreciation to Bernard Eugene "Bernie" Lightner who has faithfully
served the citizens of Butte County for nearly nine years; and
WHEREAS, Bernie Lightner served as an Investigator II in the Butte County District Attorney Office
during this time; and
WHEREAS, Bernie Lightner has dedicated his life to service of the people of the United States of
America, and the State of California through six years of active and reserve duty with the United States Air Force
and twenty-seven years as a California peace officer with the City of San Carlos Police Department and the Butte
County District Attorney's Office.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED as follows:
This Board, on behalf of the people of this county as well as on its own behalf, wish to express Bernard
Eugene "Bernie" Lightner its sincere appreciation for his many years of outstanding service to the People of the
County of Butte, and further wish him well in his retirement.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Butte County Board of Supervisors on this 26th days of October, 1999
by the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Beeler, Houx, ,Tosiassen, Davis and Chair Dolan
