RESOLUTION PROCLAIMING NOVEMBER 14-20, 1999 AS
"OPTIMIST CLUB INTERNATIONAL YOUTH APPRECIATION WEEK"
WHEREAS, the Oroville Optimist Club No, 20524 is a club in good standing with
Optimist International; and
WHEREAS, the Oroville Optimist Club is committed to offering positive programs for
Oroville youth; and
WHEREAS, the Oroville Optimist Club has been a leader in the community for the past
year; and
WHEREAS, there are Oroville _youth who are deserving of recognition tar their efforts
and talents in the arts, athletics, academics and for their contributions to the community; and
WHEREAS, since 1957, the second week in November has been observed through
Optimist clubs nationally.
NOW, THEREFORE,, BE IT RESOLVED that the Butte County Board of Supervisors
hereby proclaims November 14-20, 1999 as "Youth appreciation Week.'
PASSED AND ADOPTED, by the Butte County Board of Supervisors this 9`~' day of
November 1999 by the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Beeler, Houx, Josiassen, Davis and Chair Dolan
NOES: None

NOT VOTING: None
