RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING A
SPECIAL INVESTIGATIVE REVOLVING FUND FOR THE
PROBATION DEPARTMENT
WHF,REEiS, the Chief Probation Officer for the County of Butte believes that a
Special Investi~?ative E~und to be utilized by the Butte Anti-Drug/Gang Special
Supervision (B.A.S.S.) Unit for investigation and obtaining information regarding drug
and gang activity is necessary for the efficient operation of that unit; and
Wl ll;R~:AS. California Government Code Section 29320 et. seq. provides for the
establishment of such funds in amounts to be determined by the Board of Supervisors;
and
WI-Ii;REAS, the Chief Probation Officer has requested that the Board of
Supervisors establish such a fiord,
NOW, "fHEREFORI, BF IT RESOLVF,D by the E3oard of Supervisors of the
County of Butte, State of California, as follows:
1. There is determined to be a need for the establishment of a revolving fund in the
Probation Office, Butte Anti-Drugt"Gang Special Supervision (B.A.S.S.) Unit for the
efficient operation of that unit including the investigation and obtaining information
regarding drug and gang activity.
2. "fhe amount of the Probation Office's Special Im~estigative E~und shall be in the
amount of ~ 500.00.
3. This fund is established in accordance with Sections 29320 et. seq. of the Government
Code of the State of California, and that certified copies of this resolution shall be
transmitted to the County Auditor and the County Treasurer,

to be conditioned in addition to its ot}1cr provisions, upon the faithful administration
ofthe revolving fund and upon the ~villingness and ability of the principal for whom
such fund has been established to account for and pay over the fund upon demand of
the. Board of Supervisors at any time.
5. The Auditor oI'the County of Butte is hereby authorized and directed to draw a
warrant in the sum of Five Hundred Dollars ($ 500.00) in favor of the Probation
Department, Chief Probation Ol-fiver from the County General Fund.
6. The Chief Probation Officer or his/her designee will account for the Probation Office
Special Investigative Fund in accordance with Government Code Section 29390 et.
seq. and will periodically request replenishment based on properly documented
vouchers.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 7th day ofDecemberl999 by the Butte County
Board of Supervisors by the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Beeler, Houx, Josiassen, Davis and Chair Dolan
