HomeMy WebLinkAbout99-166.6 RESOLUTION I~IONORING PRISCILLA HANFORll WHEREAS, Priscilla Hanford served on the Butte County Grand Jury in 1966 and 1967: and WHEREAS, Priscilla Hanford served on the Butte County Mental Health Advisory Board from 1971 through 1973, and WHEREAS, Priscilla Hanford was a member of the Mental Health ,Advisory- Committee, Superior California Health Planning Council from 1971 through 1973: and WHEREAS, Priscilla Hanford served on the Butte C~~~unty Planning Commission from 1973 through 1977: and WHEREAS, Priscilla Hanford tivas a member of the California Planning Advisory and Assistance Council from 1977 through 1984; and WHEREAS, Priscilla Hanford served on the California State Water Quality Coordinating Council from 1977 through 1984; and WHEREAS, Priscilla Hanford served on the California Regional Water Quality Control Board, Central Valley Region from 1977 through 1984 servin~~ as both Chair and Vice-Chair during her tenure; and WHEREAS. Priscilla Hantord served on the California Policy Advisor}' Committee for Statetivide Water Quality Management Planning from 1980 through 1982; and WHEREAS, Priscilla Hanford served on the Tulare Lake Basic Groundwater Quality Cask Force from 198 through 1982; and WHEREAS, Priscilla Hanford served on the Environmental Task Force. Golden Empire Health Systems Agency from 1981 through 1983. and WHEREAS, Priscilla Hanford Chaired the Butte County Hazardous Waste Management Advisory Committee from 1987 through 1989; and WHEREAS, Priscilla Flanford served on the Butte County Inte~~rated Waste Management Task Force from 1991 through 1994; and WHEREAS, Priscilla Hanford served as a member of the Butte County Local Agency Formation Commission from 1991 through 1998: and WHEREAS, Priscilla Hanford served as a member of the Butte County Citizens Advisory Committee for Budget Solutions from 1993 through 1999; and WHEREAS, Priscilla Hanford has served on the Butte County Water Commission fro-11 .ianuary 1997 through October 1999; and WHEREAS, Priscilla 1 Lanford contributed immensely to the implementation of the Groundwater Protection Ordinance. and WHEREAS. Priscilla Hanford was instrumental in the evolution of the Water Division into the Department of V4~'ater and Resource Conservation: and WHEREAS, Priscilla Hanford has played an active role in the League of Women Voters; and WHEREAS, Priscilla Hanford has exhibited exceptional leadership skills and professionalism in all capacities of her life; and WHEREAS, Priscilla Hanford tirelessly and cheerfully served the community and her family: and WHEREAS, Priscilla Flanford, after thirty-some years of public service, has chosen to pursue a -T~ore personal path to deepen her own spiritual life: and WHEREAS, Priscilla Hanford .will be greatly missed by all who were fortunate enough to I~-ave worked with her and received her guidance. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Supervisors of tl7e County of F3utte hereby determine that Priscilla Hanford be recognized and honored for her unequaled dedication and outstanding contribution through public service in Butte County and throughout the State of California.
