AN ORDINANCE ,AUTHORIZING AN AMENDMENT TO THE CONTRACT
BETi~TEEN THE COUNTY OF BUTTE AND THE BOARD OF ADMINIST~
RATION OF THE CALIFORNIA PUBLIC EMPLOYEES' RETIREMENT
SYSTEM
The Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte does ordain
as follows:
SECTION 1. That an amendment to the Contract between the
Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte and the B~ rd of
Administration, California Public Employees' Retirement System
is hereby authorized, a copy of said amendment being attached
.hereto, marked "Exhibit A°A, and by such reference made a part
'hereof as though herein set out in full.
SECTION 20 That Donald L. Maxon, Chairman of the Butte
County Board of Supervisors, is hereby authorized, empowered,
and directed to execute Said amendment for anal on behalf of
said agency.
SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall take effect 30 days after
the date of its adoption, and prior to the expiration of 30 days
from the passage thereof shall be published at least once in the
Chico Enterprise, a newspaper of general circulation, published
and circulated in the County of Butte, and thenceforth and there-
after the same shall be in full force and effect.
PASSID AND AJ~OPTED by the Board of Supervisors of the
County of Butte, State of California, this 27th day of August,
1968, by the following vote:

OF THE
COUNTY OF BUTTE
The Board of Administration, Public Etttployees' Retirement System, hereinafter ~. _
referred to as Board, and the BOARD OF SUPERVISORS of the COUNTY OF BUTTE, herein-
- after referred to as Public Agency, having entered into a contract under date of
Februar~J 2b, 1945, effective April 1, 1945, and as amended effective October 1,
1947, December 1, 1857-, July 1, 1956, November 1, 1956, November 1, 1959, Septembe_:•
$, 1960, October 1, 1960, October 1, 1961, and September 16, 1964, which provides
.for participation of Public Agency in said System, Board and Public Agency hereby'
..agree as follows: ~'
li. The following sub-paragraphs shall be added to said Contract:
Section 21251.75 of the G=overnment Code (providing for increases
5(c)(10) in allowances payable for time commencing on the first day of the .~
' and calendar month coinciding with or next following the effective date
6{h)(9) of this amendment to persons retired prior to January 1, 1967)•
'B. Paragraph 7 (a) and 7 (b) shall be stricken from said contract and the fol-
lowing paragraph substituted therefor:
7 (a) FTith respect to miscellaneous members, the County shall contribute the 4
following percentages of monthly salaries earned as miscellaneous mem-
be~s of said System:
• {1) 1.619 percent until March 31, 1975 on account of the liability
_' for prior service benefits.
_ (2) 7.051 percent on account of the liability for current service
benefits.
