The message below was actually forwarded to me by Smith & Wesson. However, its source should not discount its message, which is about "pot" grows in California and, more specifically, in California neighborhoods and parks and on public lands. So, please, read this message and view the video link it contains. Despite the recent decisions of all four California Federal Dis#rict Courts that uphold the federal statute that bans the cultivation and sale of marijuana, many California communities and counties, including our own Butte County and the City of Paradise, still seem to believe it is necessary to accommodate the cultivators and distributors of this toxic (watch the video and you will learn why it is, indeed, toxic) weed. The below-linked video is directed, especially, to our county supervisors who seem to feel same compulsion to disregard the federal statute and the District Court rulings and to be impelled to rewrite or to recreate the recently failed ballot proposal, Measure A, in a way that will be acceptable to the federal felons in our county communities, as well as to our state legislative representatives and other interested parties. The federal law says, simply stated, the cultivation and sale of marijuana is illegal. Federal law supersedes state and local ordinances (you can argue the 10th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, but in this case, your argument will fail.) The Federal Drug Administration (FDA) has refused to recognize any legitimate medicinal quality in marijuana. What more is there to know? Ergo, all "pot" grows are outlawed by Federal Statute. All so-called "medico[" marijuana dispensaries are similarly outlawed. Some are store-fronts and some are private properties -all are illegal. So, quit screwing around, wasting taxpayer-funded time, with hearings and meetings intended to devise new or revised ordinances that will please your "pothead" constituencies. Just enforce the federal statute. You all have more important issues to address. One of them is this video of your California Fish and Game agents involved in an asymetrical war against the drug cartels. It demands your attention. If you blow this away without watching the video, you are an enabler of the cartels and federal felons. look forward to a straightforward, non-spin, response from each of you. Thankyou in advance for your anticipated attention and prompt response. It's brought to you by Smith & Wesson and featured on the NRA Life of Duty network, presented by Brownells. Criminals don't lose sleep over your children's health, the purity of your groundwater, or the conservation of wildlife. But they do spend nights worrying about people like Lt. Jim Nores who shut down their poisonous operations. A warden with the California Department of Fish and Game, Lt. Nores takes on dangerous foes as part of amulti-agency team that's dedicated to destroying drug cartels' illegal growing sites, which are sometimes setup within feet of schools, gated communities and public places. NRA Life of Duty and Smith & Wesson salute Lt. Nores, the California Department of Fish and Game, the sworn deputies of the Santa Clara Sheriffs Office, and other law enforcement entities assigned to a multi- agency, multi jurisdictional team established to fight this growing threat.
