The Butte RFP decision will be made some time in August. The full LEMSA board will meet in September and receive the
f[nal recommendation. ]have been contacted by RFP applicants and have purposely not returned any phone calls or
accepted any appointments from the RFP participants.

Hello all,
I understand that some of you have been approached by persons in the community asking you if the Board of
Supervisors can overturn a decision made by SSV-EMS regarding the ambulance RFP.
As was stated by the judge in our lawsuit, a county must either accept all of the responsibility for EMS issues
or must contact out ali of the responsibility for oversight of an EMS system. Your board made the decision to
contract out all EMS functions to 55V-EMS and they are the overseer and appeals body for all issues regarding
the ambulance RI=P.
I have attached language directly from the RFP regarding any potential appeals, and hope that addresses any
concerns or questions you may have. If you need mare information, please contact me at S3$-7750.
