Re: Compensation for Board of Appeals Members
We, the undersigned, are requesting an increase in compensation for our services as members the Butte
County Assessment Appeals Board. Over a decade has passed without an increase in our base compensation.
We did, however, receive an, increase in our mileage reimbursement in the past couple of years.
We have enclosed documentation which shows the salaries paid in other counties. Eliminating the
metropolitan counties and considering counties comparable to Butte, we are significantly below average
compensation.
We request the following for consideration with an effective date of June 1, 2017:
1. Mileage — No Change
2. $100.00— half day or 3 hrs or less
3. $200.00—full day or hrs or more
