Subject: The Barry Kirschener Wildlife Foundation
Use Permit
For many years The Barry Kirschener Wildlife Foundation has provided care and a clean, safe haven to
many kinds of wildlife, some exotic, some not, who have been abandoned or injured. As a non-profit
organization The Foundation relies on public interest and support, and donations received from persons
or groups stopping by for tours.
In order to continue providing the care these animals require, The Foundation needs to accommodate the
many requests for tours, some of which are from local schools and organizations; however, their current
use permit doesn't allow more than 10 visiting vehicles per day. If one or more of these vehicles happens
to be a school bus, the number of visiting vehicles per day is obviously greatly reduced. As a result, The
Foundation receives fewer donations which affects the cycle of care for the animals.
The Foundation is trying to get permission from the County for a larger parking area. Please give them
the permission and help they need. Go for a visit yourselves and see what a great job they are doing.
Four kind consideratio i gatly appreciated,
