On open invoices we need to decide if we want to write off Lori Bremel's bad debt or leave it on the invoices. Director Townsend moved to remove the Open in~lai~£, but ~~ ~ntin~le to try ~~ r,,,~11Qrt through t~A collection agency. Director Flesher seconded the motion, and the motion passed. The rest of the open invoices are ~--ainly baCl jha~kS~ all Qf whim have been cent to the DA at this point, Tha finr~ ~p~n irEr~oice~~or the Junior Livestock A~actiorf Committee are Max Schohr, and Debbie Libbie Director Townsend moved to accept the financial report, and Director Menas seconded the motion. The motion passed. ~ 6,2 CEO REPORT y a. Personnel -Secretary Howe reported that Jose is back. While he was in Mexico Jorge came in and helped with the maintenance department. Half of the rental will be given to the school as well. c_ Court with I_aw Offices of Rochelle Farbis -The judge decided to reschedule again, aG he did not feel comfortable ruling without Ms. Forbis presen#, due to the fact she works with him. The new court date is December 14~', in Chica at 1:20pn1. d. Coun#~;r 11ff©eting with General Services - We went over the agreements, the meeting sounded positive. The county also wrote into the agreement that they would take over large maintenance projects, which would be over $1,000. We wQUld also lie put Qnto the schedule to get improvements t4 the buildings. The cQUnty is also putting aside a lump sum of money in the maintenance budget to start work on the fairgrounds. This has already started; they are going to be testing for asbestos an Ncvelwlber 27~'. President Jones added that the meeting was very positive. The county asked for the financial amount to be lowered this first year, because the county does »Ct like to Set iiL~incy aside that V,~ili lii3t be used. It was also mentioned that the agreements needed to be passed in order for the supervisors to vote on it at their next meeting. e. CFA Fall Managers Conference -November ~~'-7~' --Secretary Howe reported that after attending the conference it apr~ears that we are in a lot b?tker shape than many of Lyle Smaller fairs. It IS als0 an iriteresting =1me, there are a Ivt Of fairs brGinCl'llrlg off Of the traditional management path, and so there are becoming more patterns to follow. ror example Caivarias County Fair nos a set-up similar tv wnat we nave at the moment, and plans to stick with it. There are going to be lots of changes in the industry in the coming year. f. WFA Comrentian -January 2D~'-23`~ -Secretary Howe brought up that, pre-registration for the coa71•ererlce will be next marxth. It was decided to send Christy though, so a fair staff would have representation. g. Fart Show --The dates af-the farm show will be ;}une 2?~' through the 29"'. The big Draw ^irtner will be ran Friday June 28''. Havi~lg a concert was also discussed fvr Thursday night. A committee was formed of Directors, Donati, Flesher and Wilkerson to discuss and determine fnal details. 7.0 OLQ BUSINESS a.
