FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Distribution Sites and Holiday Donation Considerations
BUTTE COUNTY, Calif. — Butte County continues to be amazed by the incredible kindness and
generosity directed to our citizens affected by the Camp Fire. The outpouring of love, donations, time
and support has been truly amazing.
Distribution Sites are currently available for survivors of the Camp Fire to obtain relief supplies. These
Sites are not accepting donations at this time. Their function is to provide supplies to those in need.
Supplies available at these sites include clothing, bedding/towels, toiletries (including toothbrushes,
diapers, wipes, feminine hygiene), small appliances and non-perishable food. The availability of
specific supplies is subject to each location and can change on a daily basis.
If you are a survivor of the Camp Fire and are in need of supplies, please inquire at the following
locations:
The Salvation Army
1100 Marauder Street
Chico, CA 95973
Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday, 10:00 AM -- 5:00 PM
Hope Center at Municipal Auditorium
1200 Meyers Street
Oroville, CA 95965
Monday through Saturday 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM
The holiday season is now here and many people are asking where holiday donations can be made to
help make this season a little brighter for those families impacted by this disaster. At this time, we
encourage individuals to reach out to community service agencies and local non-profit organizations
who collect donations and provide services to families throughout the year, and particularly during the
holiday season.
Monetary Donations
The best way to help recovery efforts is through monetary donations to trusted organizations.
Monetary donations are the easiest to manage and provide the means to purchase the exact items in
need. Please utilize trusted organizations for monetary donations to avoid potential scams. The
official Camp Fire recovery website, https://buttecountyrecovers.org/give, has an initial list of agencies
who are accepting monetary donations for Camp Fire Relief efforts.
Organizations that have a 501(c)3 designation that are providing response or recovery support for
Camp Fire survivors, and are able to accept monetary donations, can complete an application to be
2
listed at https://buttecountyrecovers.org/give. The application and submission instructions can also be
found at that website.
Donations of Goods
Individuals or organizations desiring to make a donation of new goods should complete the form
located at http://relieflink.org. Your offer will be assessed by the donation coordination team. If a
need related to your offer is identified, an organization or agency representative will contact you.
There are many community service agencies, faith-based organizations, service organizations and
generous people in Butte County who are working hard to help all families affected by this disaster.
Please check the https://buttecountyrecovers.org website regularly for new information and updates
