RE: Letter of Resignation
Dear Supervisors of Butte County,
The time has come for me to pass my responsibilities as a Public Defender to another
Attorney, please accept this letter as notice of my resignation effective December 31st,
2018.
As a founding member of the Butte County Public Defender Consortium, I am proud of
our group, and the work our lawyers do in tirelessly defending the poor and accused of
this county.
I am also grateful for the Board's support of Veteran's Court. This Court provides a
lifeline to veterans suffering from trauma resulting from their service to our Country. I
trust that the Board's support continues in this endeavor.
Rest assured, I am working closely with the Consortium and the Court in ensuring a
smooth transfer of my caseload.
