By e-mail dated December 28, 2012, Plumes County Department of Public Wanks Bob Perreault informed you that both Butte County and Plumes County Deparemients of Public Works are continuing t4 independently review the listing of roadways that Plumes National Forest staff presented to both counties during our November 16, 2012 meeting. We are very interested in receiving your written response to our other issues we presented to yon at our first meeting on October 24, 2012. The other issues presented include the fallowing • Process to identify dispersed camping areas. This may include the placement of markers identifying where camping is allowed as well es the process for 1'lumas National Forest to pro-actively identifying and marking these "historic" camp area. • Amended wood ctrtting permits that wil! allow vehicles to travel up to 100 feet off of the roadway to collect firewood. • Development ofatt informational pamphlet that would describe and illustrate the one {1) vehicle length rule as well as the use ofthe texm "compacted surface area" instead of "hardened surface area" when describing where vehicles can park. Butte County has scheduled a meeting with Feather River District staff to discuss how the Plutxtas National Forest will be proceeding with the process and envirotunaental document to reduce the Critical Aquatic Habitat to coincide with the Red Legged Frog habitat in the Fr~tch Creek Area and re-establish the motorized trarrel management plan in this area . We are eager to keep this process moving in a timely manner and request chat you please respond to this letter by January 22, 2013.
