Need Your Support This Holiday Season
Giving Tuesday (November 28th) is a global day of charitable
giving that celebrates the good we can do when we take action
to care for one another.

This year Butte 2-1-1 is bringing awareness to the issue of
hunger and food insecurity in our community and raising
funds to support our part in this important work.
Today on #GivingTuesday and throughout this holiday season
we are asking you to join our mission to help end hunger.
• In Butte County, poverty and hunger are a daily reality for over 48,000 people.
• 1 in 4 children go hungry in our communities.
• That's thousands of kids without enough food,worried about their next meal.
• Butte 2-1-1 serves as a lifeline, connecting residents to food programs.
• Every year more than 8,000 people call 2-1-1 in Butte County for help.
• Last year Butte 2-1-1 helped more than 2,500 people find emergency food
pantries, free community meals, and monthly food benefits.
• In Butte County, many parents battling hunger and poverty have a job.
• Knowing how to access basic needs such as food and nutrition helps our most
vulnerable families become more resilient. With food on the table,these
families can begin to resolve other challenges and hardships.
2-1-1 is a free 24-hour helpline that anyone can call or text and get connected to
emergency food resources. 2-1-1 is free, confidential, and multilingual.
Please make a contribution to the Butte 2-1-1 helpline today
and help us end daily hunger in Butte County.

North Valley Community Foundation.
