FOR CONSIDERATION AND POSSIBLE ADOPTION
REVISIONS TO THE CALIFORNIA BUILDING
ENERGY EFFICIENCY STANDARDS

The Notice of Proposed Actions set a date of November 14, 2012, for consideration and
possible adoption by the California Energy Commission of the proposed update to the
Energy Efficiency Building Standards of Title 24 Part 6, associated administrative
regulations in Part 1 referred to as the Nonresidential Acceptance Testing Certification.
Please be advised that the Lead Commissioner overseeing this rulemaking has directed
Energy Commission staff to develop revisions to the proposed 2013 Building Energy
Efficiency Standards to address comments received at the October 1, 2012 hearing and
in writing during the public comment period. As a result, the Energy Commission will
not consider adoption of these matters on November 14, 2012. The hearing date
for consideration and possible adoption of the proposed update has been
postponed to December 12, 2012.
The Energy Commission will publish additional proposed changes to the Standards as
"15-Day language" at a date after November 13, 2012, pursuant to Section 11346.8(c)
of the California Government Code. The Energy Commission will consider adoption
of these matters on December 12, 2012 during the normally scheduled Business
Meeting of the Full Commission. This postponement is authorized by Section
11346.8(b) of the California Government Code, and 20 Cal. Code Regs, section 1223.

Government Code, and 20 Cal. Code Regs., Section 1223.
