I would like to express my appreciation for the remarkable services rendered by Debra
Lucero. We met with Debra in late January when we began to work together.
My company Pulses International is interested in building avalue-added pulse processing facility
in California. We have been trying hard to find a suitable location since July 2011. It has been a
very challenging task to find a location that matches our narrow criteria. Before coming to Butte
County we tried several locations including Stockton and Sacramento but could not get much
help from local economic development departments.
I wanted to express my appreciation far the help we received during last few months from
Debra. She introduced us to local farmers, business and government people pertinent to our
project in Glenn and Butte counties. Debra assisted us with rail and shipping questions, setting
up meetings, facilitating conversation, researching potential sites and acted as the liaison
between local business people and pulses in ag industry.
Debra has excellent communication skills. In addition, she is extremely organized, reliable and
well-networked. Besides being a joy to work with, Debra is stake-charge person who is able to
present creative ideas and communicate the benefits. We sincerely appreciate her outstanding
work in getting our company started right.
